Brazing is used to join metal parts, even of different materials.
It is a type of heterogeneous welding, in which the material to be assembled is only heated, without fusion.
Brazing is characterised by the use of filler materials, such as brass, with relatively high melting temperatures (800˚C). The process is mainly based on the atomic diffusion of the filler alloy into the intergranular structure of the base material.
Brazing can be manual, using brazing units, or automatic, using robotic brazing equipment.
